Box Score Southfield, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University football team closed out their home schedule on Saturday afternoon by falling on senior day to #10 Concordia University Ann Arbor 42-21.
First Half
- After starting at the LTU 49-yard line, the Cardinals finished a four-play drive with a 6-yard TD pass to open the scoring
- After another LTU punt, CUAA engineered a 15-play, 82-yard drive that culminated with an 11-yd TD pass to go up 14-0 with 9:28 left in the second quarter
- Tyler Kulka was intercepted on the third play of the ensuing drive and the Cardinals quickly turned it into seven with a 22-yd TD strike
- Nick Robinette fumbled on the first play of the next Blue Devils possession and the Cardinals made them pay with another 22-yd TD Pass
- LTU got on the board before the half thanks to the two-minute drill as Kulka ended a six-play drive with an 11-yard TD pass to Kendyl Williams to head into halftime trailing 28-7
Second Half:
- After the Blue Devils botched a pooch punt at midfield, the Cardinals again took advantage of good field possession by capping off the drive with a 22-yard TD run
- Kulka was intercepted on the first play of the next series and nine plays later, a CUAA 4-yd TD pass stretched the lead to 42-7
- LTU got back on the board on their first drive of the fourth quarter as Kulka threw a screen pass to Williams and he made a couple men miss, taking it 80 yards to the house
- The Blue Devils defense forced a three-and-out on the next possession to give their offense the ball back with 10:49 remaining in the game
- Starting with the ball on their own two, LTU engineered a 13-play, 98-yard drive that ended with Kulka punching it in the end zone from one-yard out to make it a 42-21 ballgame with 6:42 left to go
- On the ensuing kickoff, LTU attempted an onside kick but was called offside and had to re-kick
- The LTU defense forced a punt with 2:10 remaining, put a roughing the kicker penalty allowed Concordia to hold onto the football and run out the clock
