Southfield, MI - The Lawrence Technological University men's soccer team hosted #8 Indiana Tech on Saturday night in the rain for their last regular season match of the season before heading into the WHAC Tournament. This was a hard-fought battle that ended in a 2OT tie 1-1. 

The first half was very much a defensive match as both teams entered the half scoreless.

LTU went down a couple of minutes into the second half when a cross went into the box to get past the Blue Devils goalkeeper to put the Warriors up 1-0.

Minutes later in the 58th minute LTU was able to tie the game back up from a goal by Alvaro Merino that beat the goalkeeper in the low opposite corner of the net, assisted by Zane Arnold.

After 90 minutes of play, the game was still knotted up at one apiece.

No goals were scored in either overtime and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

LTU shot the ball nine times, six on the frame.

Goalkeeper, Marko Matovski saw six shots on goal with five saves on the night.

The 3-seed Blue Devils will host a WHAC Quarterfinal match on Saturday, November 6th at 6pm versus 6-seed UM-Dearborn.
