Southfield MI – The Lawrence Technological University women's volleyball team won a pair of tight first two sets on their way to prevailing in four 25-23, 26-24, 21-25, 25-14 to UM-Dearborn on Wednesday night.

How it Happened:

Set 1:

• LTU fell down 10-4 early in the opening set
• Four kills from Lindsay Hubler were part of a 6-0 LTU run that cut the deficit to one, 17-16
• LTU ties match at 19-19 on UM-D attack error but found themselves down 23-20
• Two LTU kills and three UM-D errors helped the Blue Devils storm back to take the set 25-23

Set 2:

• Nicole Whan found O'Connell as LTU retook lead 14-13
• Hubler kill forced Wolverines timeout at 19-16
• UM-D tied the set at 24-24
• A pair of Hubler kills from Whan close out set 26-24

Set 3:

• Wolverines raced out to a 9-2 advantage
• UM-D extend the margin to double digits at 22-13
• LTU attack error ends late comeback attempt at 25-21

Set 4:

• Ellery Cure kill gives Blue Devils 12-9 advantage
• 6-0 run by LTU opens up 17-11 lead
• Madeline Hudson service ace forces Wolverines timeout at 21-13
• Abby Zambeck kill ices set at 24-14
