Box Score Farmington Hills, Mich. – The #20 Lawrence Technological University ACHA D1 men's hockey team allowed a late tie breaking goal with 5:24 left in the third period to fall to #12 Indiana Tech 4-3 on Friday evening.
How It Happened:
- Sean Pilet scored his fifth goal of the season with 5:10 left in the opening period off assists from Thimo Ey and John Horn
- The Warriors responded before the intermission as a shorthanded tally with 1:55 to go sent the game to the first intermission tied at 1-1
- Horn netted his sixth goal of the year, on the power play, halfway through the second off another helper from Ey
- IIT answered a couple of minutes later as the game again was tied, 2-2, after another 20 minutes of play
- This time Indiana Tech struck first, scoring 3:06 into the period while skating a man-down, to take its' first lead of the night
- LTU eventually capitalized on the power play, as Keegan Rundle scored 1:16 later, off assists from Jacob Stawinski and Alec Allen to knot the game at 3-3.
- The Warriors netted the game-winner with 5:24 remaining to steal a 4-3 win on the road
