Box Score Howell, MI – The Lawrence Technological University ACHA D1 men's hockey team was tied a 3-3 with the Cleary University Cougars in the third period before a Jordon Woytas goal halfway through the stanza lifted them to a 4-3 victory on Friday evening.
How It Happened:
- The Cougars began the scoring 7:53 into the first period to hold a lead at the first intermission
- Woytas scored his first goal of the night, 2:06 into the second, off assists from Bryce Ebert and Sean Pilet to tie the score at 1-1.
- Roughly 10 minutes later, LTU took the lead on the power play off a goal from Blake Heier
- Less than three minutes later, Zachary Rais gave LTU a two-goal advantage at 3-1
- Cleary cut the deficit to one at the 18:21 mark before the second period intermission
- The Cougars took that momentum into the third as they knotted the game at 3-3, 4:36 into the final frame
- Woytas scored the game-winner five minutes later off assists from James Jentz and Jacob Stawinski to give LTU the 4-3 win
