Slow Fourth Quarter Sinks Blue Devils

West Plam Beach, Fla. - The Lawrence Technological University Blue Devils women's basketball team took on the Webber International Warriors in the Keiser New Year's Classic.

Webber International came away with a 70-63 victory behind Amaya Small's 17 point, 15 rebound performance.

Kendall Fisher led all scorers with 24 points.

1st Quarter

  • Small's layup kicks off the ballgame's scoring
  • Kylee Batey answers with a layup
  • Samantha Pacheco and Julia Huey trade triples
  • Addie Nagel's steal leads to a Fisher bucket, giving the Blue Devils their first lead
  • Jade Faris' layup-and-one gives LTU a 14-12 lead with 37 seconds left in the first
  • LTU leads 14-12 after one

2nd Quarter

  • Pacheco makes three free throws to start the quarter
  • Eletra Graham's layup-and-a-foul gives Webber a 6-0 run to start the quarter
  • Nagel hits a three to give the Blue Devils the lead back
  • Leandra Franklin's layup from Small returned the advantage to Webber International
  • Rushell Jacob's layup extends the cushion to six, leading to a Lawrence Tech timeout
  • Kirstyn Lunniss and Huey score the final buckets of the quarter
