Box Score 2 Farmington Hills, Mich. – After defeating Rochester 12-1 on Friday night, the #23 Lawrence Technological University ACHA D1 men's hockey team continued to find the back of the net in bunches as they defeated the Warriors 8-2 on Saturday evening.
How It Happened:
- Blake Heier scored 26 seconds into the game off assists from Brenden Preiss and Adam Rebecca
- Rochester scored four minutes later to tie the game at 1-1, five minutes into the first
- Alec Allen scored his first of the night, with 8:05 left in the opening stanza, as LTU held a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes of play
- Ethan Grover scored 7:46 into the second before Heier scored his second of the game less than three minutes later
- Allen added his second tally of the game 18 seconds later to extend the margin to three at 5-1
- With just under three minutes left until intermission, Thimo Ey scored LTU's fourth goal of the period, off assists from Garrett Sample and Grover, to extend the margin to 6-1
- Rochester got on the board 1:17 into the third before Heier recorded the hat trick with 14:49 left in the game
- Allen also got his hat trick at the 10:59 mark of the third, off passes from James Jentz and Cole Therrian, to cap off the 8-2 LTU victory
