Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Men's basketball headed to the West End for a clash against Aquinas on Wednesday night in a critical playoff push for both teams. The result was the Blue Devils grabbing their first win in program history in Grand Rapids to the tune of 68-59.
The Blue Devils had 4 starters in double-digits Wednesday evening, with Carter Frantz leading the way with 16 pts. Brandon Beavers had 14 pts, Gunnar Gustafson had 13 pts, and Sanna Sisawo had 12 pts. Additional Blue Devils to score were Alek Ivanovic with 6 pts, Logan Daniher with 4 pts, and Tyler Balon with 3 pts. Overall the Blue Devils had 35 rebounds, 16 assists, 6 steals, 3 blocks, and 18 turnovers. The Blue Devils shot 24-46 or 52.2% from the field while going 8-20 or 40% from beyond the arc and shooting 12-16 or 75% at the charity stripe Wednesday.
Looking ahead, the Blue Devils turn to Friday evening at Lourdes in a reschedule from February 6th. Tip-off's slated for 4 pm in Sylvania, Ohio.
