Women's Soccer Falls at Home Friday

WIXOM, Mich.- Women's soccer headed back to the Total Sports Complex in Wixom, Michigan, Friday afternoon to take on Mount Vernon Nazarene. This marks the second week for the Blue Devils to play in Wixom due to weather and unplayable conditions at Blue Devils Stadium. The Blue Devils fell to the Cougars 3-1.

The Blue Devils' lone goal for the day came from Lauren Wasiak in the first half at the 11:15 mark unassisted. Courtney Matheson picked up a yellow card at the 89:41 mark of the game for a slide tackle. Overall the Blue Devils had 6 saves compared to 4 saves by Mount Vernon Nazarene. However, Mount Vernon Nazarene had 12 shots to the 7 by the Blue Devils. A tough day defensively with 11 fouls called on the Blue Devils compared to 3 by Mount Vernon Nazarene. Of the 7 shots the Blue Devils took 5 of them were on goal Friday.

Looking forward, the Blue Devils head back to Wixom for a non-conference slate against Marian University Friday, February 26th.
