Southfield. MI – The Lawrence Tech Women's Volleyball team won their home match against Lourdes University on Saturday, February 20th. They bounced back from last weeks loss. It was an all around team effort in this one as they got out to an early lead and never looked back from there. Lawrence Tech beat Lourdes 25-9, 25-21, 19-25, 25-23.
The kill leader for your Blue Devils on the night was Jessica Lodge with 17. The team leader in hitting percentage for the match was Isabella McDonald with a percentage of 333. Right behind her in hitting percentage for the match was Madeline Hudson with .286. Nicole Whan and Gneiss Aramburu both led the Blue Devils for the second straight game with double digit assists with 21 and 20. The Blue Devils leader in digs for the game was Nichole Hyduk for the second game in a row with 25 and two other lady Blue Devils who played very well defensively were Jessica Lodge and Shelby Rasch. The leaders on the night for the Blue Devils in total points scored were Jessica Lodge with 21.5 and Madeline Hudson with 12. Moving on to the team stats on the night, the team's total attacks were 147. Team total in kills were 48 and the teams total in assist were 4.
The Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (2-4) next match will be Tuesday, February 23th as the team will travel to Grand Rapids, MI as they play Aquinas College inside the Sturrus Sport & Fitness Center.
