ADRIAN, Mich.- Men's basketball hit the road for a WHAC match up against rival Siena Heights on Sunday afternoon in Adrian, Michigan. The Blue Devils kept the Saints at bay late to grab the road win 72-66 in the SHU Fieldhouse.
A career night for the Macomb, Michigan native Alek Ivanovic led the team with 25 pts tonight on 8-15 shooting from the field and 8-13 shooting from beyond the arc. His previous career-high was 23 pts back in the 2017-18 season. Other double-digit scorers for the Blue Devils were Carter Frantz with 15 pts on 5-18 shooting from the field. Sanna Sisawo had 12 pts on 5-6 shooting from the field. Fellow starter Gunnar Gustafson had 9 pts and 6 boards on 4-8 shooting from the field.
The Blue Devils shot 48.1% from the field, 45.5% from beyond the arc, and 38.5% from the charity stripe this afternoon. They also had 41 rebounds, 18 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks, and 16 turnovers. All of this while still without 4 players, including 2 starters currently.
Looking ahead, the Blue Devils take a few days off and get rested up as the Warriors of Indiana Tech come to town for a Wednesday evening clash inside the Don Ridler Field House tip-off's slated for 7:00 pm.
