BASEBALL SPLITS WITH INDIANA WESLEYAN

MARION, Indiana- Baseball hit the road for a non-conference doubleheader against Indiana Wesleyan's Wildcats on Wednesday afternoon. The result was an upset bid in game one that saw a 16 game winning streak come to an end for the Wildcats. In the end, the Blue Devils split the series Wednesday afternoon. Game 1, the final was 8-3, and in Game 2, the final was  7-5.

GAME 1 |

Alek Wietryzkowski got the start on the bump for the Blue Devils in game 1 Wednesday. Wietryzkowski went 2 innings, giving up 1 run, 1 hit, 0 earned, 1 walk, and 3 strikeouts. Jay Gallant, who was given the win on the afternoon, pitched 2 innings in relief, giving up 1 run, 1 hit, and 1 earned while also walking 1 and grabbing 2 strikeouts. Kent Madak and Jacob Pershern also came in for relief efforts.

Sam DeKuiper blasted one out of the park Wednesday, while Luke Morrissette and Nick Olsen both had doubles. Luke Morrissette also had a stolen base in the game. Overall, the Blue Devils had 8 runs, 7 hits, 8 RBI's, 4 walks, and 9 strikeouts on the afternoon.

Looking ahead, the Blue Devils will head to Lima, Ohio, to face off against the Racers of UNOH Saturday afternoon; first pitch is set for 1:00 pm.
