Blue Devils Baseball Falls On The Road With Narrow Defeat at WHAC Conference Tournament

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils were edged out 4-3 by Indiana Tech in a gripping showdown at the WHAC Conference Tournament held in Grand Rapids, Mich., on April 30, 2025. 

Starting pitcher Ethan Hochendoner took the mound for Lawrence Tech, giving a strong performance in what turned out to be the team's final outing of the year. Despite a solid team effort, the Blue Devils could not overcome their rivals. Indiana Tech secured the victory, and the Blue Devils would be one loss away from ending thier season in the double elimination tournament. 

Lawrence Tech managed to put three runs on the scoreboard, thanks to critical hits by Joel Stirnemann, Trent Matthews, and D'Andrea Parnell, each contributing one run. Supporting the offensive effort, Jack Burch and Cameron Hardy each chipped in with an RBI. However, their efforts fell just short of a win.

The Blue Devils will wait to see who they play in game two of the double elimination tournament to keep their season hopes alive.
