LIMA, Ohio- The Blue Devils headed to Lima, Ohio, Saturday morning looking to kick off WHAC play with a bang and take two from one of the top teams in WHAC baseball. The result was close weekend series against the Racers of UNOH. The Blue Devils would drop game one 3-2 while taking game two 9-8.

Game One |

The Blue Devils went to their top guy Saturday morning in game one, Alek Wietrykowski, throwing him the complete game. Wietrykowski gave up 5 hits, 3 runs, 3 earned, 2 walks, and 12 strikeouts Saturday.

Both Nick Post and Sean Fannon each had RBI's in Game 1 on Saturday.

Game Two |

The Blue Devils looked to Ben Schmidt for game two on Saturday. Schmidt went 8 innings, giving up 12 hits, 8 runs, 5 earned, and 3 walks. Schmidt also collected 6 strikeouts Saturday, while Jacob Pershern grabbed the save Saturday in an inning of relief, giving up 2 walks. Sean Fannon, Sam DeKuiper, Jacob Llaneza, and Harry Storch all recorded RBI's Saturday afternoon.

Looking ahead,  the Blue Devils head to Grand Rapids, Michigan, for weekend series against Cornerstone and Aquinas.
