SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- Women's soccer was back in action Saturday afternoon at Blue Devils Stadium, facing off against conference foe Madonna and looking to keep their top spot amid the standings in the WHAC. The result was a 3-1 loss by the Blue Devils to give them their first loss in conference play this season.
Jessie Koje grabbed the lone goal for the Blue Devils Saturday, coming at the 10:44 mark of the first half, knotting it up 1-1. Going into halftime, the Blue Devils had allowed a second goal to make it 2-1 Madonna. A yellow card was issued to Anna Lewis of Lawrence Tech at the 82:06 mark of the game. In total, the Blue Devils faced off with 12 shots on goal and grabbing 9 saves defensively. Overall, the Blue Devils had 7 shots, with 4 of them on goal and 1 goal Saturday.
Looking ahead, the Blue Devils will head to Aquinas on Wednesday and then celebrate Senior Day on Friday afternoon at Blue Devils Stadium taking on IU-Kokomo.
