Box Score Southfield, MI - The Lawrence Technological University women's soccer team continued their home stand with a victory against the visiting Alma Scots to extend their winning streak to two games.
The scoring started off early when Lauren Wasiak scored in the third minute off a Andrea Williams shot that was saved, but right to Wasiak for her first goal of the season.
Alma came back with a goal of their own in the 28th minute after a boot from 38 yards found the net, to even the score at one.
The first half ended with the Scots and the Blue Devils deadlocked at one apiece.
In the second half, the Blue Devils dominated the offensive zone, taking 11 shots—while the Scots did not even attempt one in the second half.
After 46 minutes of scoreless play, Jaiden Konrad finally broke the tie with her second goal of the season to give the Blue Devils the lead, and eventually the victory.
Lawrence Tech outshot Alma 22-4, and shots on goal 10-3.
Renee Anderson had a clean second half to secure her first victory of the season.
The Blue Devils head on the road to face IU Kokomo on Friday, September 3 at 5pm.
