Gaylord, MI – The Lawrence Technological University men's and women's golf teams finished the two-day LTU Blue Devil Classic on Tuesday afternoon.
The women finished eighth in the nine-team event with a score of 692.
The Blue Devils top golfer, Julia LeFere finished tied for 25th carding an 84 and 88 to end the event +16 with a total score of 172. Lauren Hartline finished not far behind her teammate where she would end up in a tie for 29th. Hartline ended her two rounds +17 with an 84 and 89 earning a total score of 173.
Teammate, Manasa Potluri was also tied for 27th with a total score of 173 (83, 90).
On the men's side, Lawrence Tech finished the 11-team field in second place at 11-over with a score of 567 (276, 291) right behind Northwestern Ohio by just three strokes.
The Blue Devils had two players finish in the top three in the 58-player field. Bruno Vicente caught fire on day one of the tournaments where he earned himself a second-place finish spot on the leaderboard finishing 2-under, carding a 64 on Monday, 72 on Tuesday. Vicente finished with a total score of 136.
Liam McEvoy finished just one stroke behind his teammate earning himself the lone spot at three. McEvoy finished with a 3-under 66 on Monday, and 71 on Tuesday, giving him a total score of 137.

The Lawrence Tech men's golf team will head to South Bend, Indiana to compete in the Bethal Invitational on September 24-25th for a two-day event, while the women will travel to Palm Harbor, Florida on September 26-28 to compete in the Invite at Innisbrook.
