Box Score Southfield, MI - The Lawrence Technological University Blue Devils women's soccer team hosted the Racers of the University of Northwest Ohio on Saturday afternoon.
Early and often in the first half, the Racers dominated the possession but were sent back by Rebecca Almandoz, recording eight first half saves.
Until the 24th minute, when Nanna Rosengreen broke through to give the Racers a 1-0 lead.
Through one half, the Blue Devils were outshot 13-1 (9-1 on goal).
In the second half, it was more of the same.
UNOH took 13 more shots in the second half, scoring three times, as Agnes Stefandsottir scored in the 59th minute.
Ariana Modiri scored twice, a penalty kick in the 78th minute and an 80th minute goal off an assist.
Lawrence Tech did not go out without a fight, however, as Lauren Wasiak set up Emily Williams in the 86th minute for her first goal of the season.
Almandoz had 15 saves before being replaced by Sydney Schnurstein, who came in for the final 10 minutes of the match.
The Bue Devils (3-4-1; 0-1) look to get back to their winning ways on Wednesday, September 29 when they square off on the road against Michigan-Dearborn.
