Southfield MI – The Lawrence Technological University women's volleyball team fought back from one set down on two occasions to forth a fifth set before ultimately falling in the fifth 15-9 to lose Lourdes University, 22-25, 27-25, 16-25, 25-19, 9-15.

How it Happened:

Set 1:

• Lourdes opened up an early 10-5 lead
• Ellery Cure kill cut the deficit to 12-10
• The Grey Wolves extended the margin to seven, 19-12, with a 7-2 run
• An attack error allowed LTU to pull within two at 21-19
• Three Lourdes kills down the stretch closed out a 25-22 set win

Set 2:

• Vanessa Herz kill put LTU ahead 12-10
• Neither team was able to open up more than a two-point lead as set was tied at 25-25
• Consecutive kills from Lexie Kallio and Madeline Hudson gave LTU the 27-25 set win

Set 3:

• Lindsay Hubler service ace gave the Blue Devils an early 10-6 advantage
• 9-0 run by Lourdes put them ahead 15-11
• Shelby Rasch service ace halted the run at 15-12
• The Grey Wolves ended the set with a 9-4 run, 19-6 overall, to win it 25-16

Set 4:

• Nicole Whan found Hudson to make it 11-10 LTU
• Hubler kill extended the margin to four at 17-13 but Lourdes pulled within one at 18-17
• A plethora of Lourdes errors down the stretch catapulted LTU to a 25-19 set win

Set 5:

• Whan again set up Hudson to knot the set at 3-3
• Riley O'Connell kept LTU within one at 9-8
• Three straight service aces by Lourdes opened up an 11-8 advantage
• The Grey Wolves ended the set on a 6-1 run to take it 15-9
