Southfield, MI – The Lawrence Technological University women's volleyball season began on Wednesday night as the Blue Devils took on the Warriors of Rochester University (MI).

Set One:

• Hubler's kill knotted match at 10-10
• Warriors' attack errors tied match back up at 16-16
• Another Hubler kill tied the match at 23-23 before a pair of attack errors closed out the match

Set Two:

• Rochester jumped out to 7-5 lead
• LTU would win the next nine points to capture a 14-7 advantage
• Riley O'Connell kill made it 20-13 
• Back-to-back kills by Madeline Hudson and Hubler closed out a 25-23 win

Set Three:

• Ellery Cure kill gives LTU a 13-12 lead
• Hubler kill made it 19-18
• Warriors won 7-of-11 to win set 25-22

Set Four:

• A pair of kills from Hudson and Vanessa Herz gave LTU a 13-10 lead
• Rochester took 8-of-11 points to go up 18-13
• Herz knots the match at 21-21
• Warriors win 4-of-6 to clinch set 25-23

Lindsay Hubler had a match-high 22 kills while Nicole Whan orchestrated the attack with 45 assists. She also chipped in 20 digs as Nichole Hyduk and Shelby Rasch added 11 each.

The Blue Devils return to action on Wednesday, September 15 at 7 pm at Don Ridler Fieldhouse against Madonna.
