Box Score 2 Farmington Hills, Mich. – The #24 Lawrence Technological University ACHA D1 men's hockey team took two back-to-back losses over the weekend when they played #20 Aquinas College. Game one on Friday resulted in a final score of 7-3 while Game two on Saturday ended in a 2-0 defensive battle.
How It Happened – Friday 1/14
- On LTU's opening possession, Sean Pilet was able to find the back of the net just 19 seconds into the first period to put his team on top 1-0. John Horn and Cole Therrian were awarded the assist.
- The Saints responded to Pilet's goal by scoring three unanswered goals to head into the intermission leading 3-1.
- LTU shot six times, and AQ shot 12 times after one.
- The Blue Devils had a total of five penalties adding up to 13 minutes in the box, playing the majority of the first period shorthanded.
- In the second period, LTU scored first from Horn (unassisted) just 42 seconds in the period.
- Minutes later, Mike Curran scored for Aquinas to put them up 4-2.

- Midway through the first period, Aquinas scored a power play goal from David Elford to put his team up 1-0 after one.

- The Saints extended their lead with seven seconds remaining in the game from Darren Johnson to win this game by a final of 2-0.
