Grand Rapids, Mich. – The Lawrence Technological University men's volleyball team opened up Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Wednesday night by falling in straight sets to Aquinas, who is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Men's Volleyball Coaches Top 15 Poll, (18-25, 20-25, 21-25).

First Set:

• JT McCarthy kill put LTU up 6-5
• Aquinas responded with a 10-2 run to go ahead 15-8
• Saints' error got the Blue Devils with four at 22-18
• Pair of kills helped the Saints close out the first set 25-18

Second Set:

• Simon Phillip found Felix Perez to give LTU a slim 12-11 edge
• Jeffery Fuhrmann kill holds lead at one, 17-16
• Saints end set on 9-3 spurt to take set two 25-20

Third Set:

• Connor Cooper kill pulls LTU within two at 11-9
• Three straight Aquinas points opens up 17-11 lead
• Four consecutive Blue Devils' points trimmed the margin to three at 24-21 before Saints' kill ends match
