GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Lawrence Technological University women's volleyball team fell in four sets to #22 Cornerstone, 25-27, 25-20, 22-25, 18-25 on Wednesday evening.
First Set: (25-27)
- Riley O'Connell's kill puts LTU up 12-10
- CU ties set at 18-18, 21-21, and 23-23
- LTU had set point at 25-24 before three errors give set to CU
Second Set: (25-20)
- Charley Klint service ace caps 8-2 spurt to give LTU 18-11 advantage
- CU trimmed the margin to five at 22-17
- Madeline Hudson's finish makes it set point before LTU closes out the set
Third Set: (22-25)
- Lauren Peters service ace knots set at 10-10
- 7-2 CU run opens up a 20-15 differential
- CU extends margin to seven, 24-17, but has to hold off late surge from LTU
Fourth Set: (18-25)
- 6-0 LTU run gives it an early 8-5 lead
- CU evens set at 17-17
- CU closes on a 9-1 rally to win the match
