Southfield, Mich. – The Lawrence Technological University men's volleyball team battled all match long but was unable to win a set against the (RV) Siena Heights University Saints, losing in straight sets (22-25, 20-25, 20-25) on senior day in their home finale.
First Set:
- Jeffry Fuhrmann kill puts LTU ahead 10-6
- SHU tied the set at 13-13 before opening up a three-point advantage at 22-19
- A Saints' attack error cut the deficit to one, 23-22, but a SHU kill followed by an LTU error closed out the set 25-22
Second Set:
- Collin Holt service ace trimmed the margin to one at 9-8 SHU
- Three straight Saints' kills put them up three, 16-13, to force an LTU timeout
- Felix Perez finish followed by a Saints error, pulled the Blue Devils within one, 19-18
- SHU won 6-of-8 points to end the set 25-20
Third Set:
- JT McCarthy's kill gives LTU a slim 17-15 lead
- Saints kill puts them up two, 20-18, to force LTU timeout
- Perez's kill kept the Blue Devils within two at 22-20
- Saints cap off set within three consecutive points to win it 25-20
