West Bloomfield, Mich. – The Lawrence Technological University baseball team won a pair of WHAC games versus the Rochester Warriors, 9-5 and 10-5.

How It Happened:

Game One

• Nick Olsen's sac fly gave LTU the early 1-0 lead.
• Jackson Walkowiak's three-run bomb pushed the lead to four
• Olsen tripled to right, scoring both Harry Storch and Nathan Brown to give Lawrence Tech a 6-0 lead
• Walkowiak would score Olsen with a sac fly to extend the lead to seven.
• The Warriors would battle back to cut the deficit to two after a 5-run fifth inning. LTU 4, RU 2
• Trent Matthews would reach on an error, plating Jake Llaneza.
• A Luke Morrissette single drove in Matthews
• Ben Schmidt would pitch a complete game to capture his second win on the year

Inside the Numbers:

• LTU outhit RU 10-7,however.the Blue Devils left twice as many runners on base as the Warriors (4-2).
• The boys in the middle, Olsen and Walkowiak led the Blue Devils producing all the runs for LTU.

Game Two

• The Blue Devils jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the top of the first, highlighted by an Olsen drive to lr.
• Mari Scribner's blast to left pu the Warriors on the board
• An error-filled top of the fourth led to two runs
• Walkowiak.doubled in Nathan Brown to extend the lead to 8-1 
• A four-run eighth inning gave the Warriors a chance. 
• Brett Dulecki brought in Andrew Nepjuk and Nick Post for some insurance u
• Jeremy Flattery was the starting pitcher, pitching 7.1 innings, allowing three runs (all earned) on five hits and three walks. He struck out 10.

• The Blue Devils pitched a trio of pitchers, Flattery got the start, followed by Donovan Sayyae, and Jake Nightingale closed it out
• Rochester committed 7 errors, meanwhile LTU had none
• Post and Storch extend their hitting streaks to six and five respectively.

Lawrence Tech is scheduled to take the field in Howell on Sunday for a WHAC doubleheader against Cleary, beginning at 1 pmI
