(RV) Men's Golf Finishes Historic Season at NAIA Championships

Silvis, Ill - The (RV) Lawrence Technological University men's golf team competed at the NAIA Championships at TPC Deere Run. This was the second straight appearance for the Blue Devils in the NAIA Championships. The men finished in 25th place overall with a final team score of 599 after shooting +31. The top 17 teams advance to the final rounds.

  • The top Blue Devil was Thomas Delmas who finished inside the top-50. Delmas shot a one under 70 in round one, then shot 75 in round two for a final score of 145.
  • Diego Courtney finished inside the top 100 after shooting a one over 71 in round one. Courtney would shoot a 78 in the next round for a score of 149.
  • The sophomore, Bruno Vicente shot a final score of 151 after rounds of 75, and 76.
  • Shooting an 81 on day one and a 76 on day two was Liam McEvoy for a two round 157.
  • Victor Queinnec shot scores of 85, and 75 for a final score of 158.
  • There was a total of 152 golfers.

Despite not making the cut at nationals, the Blue Devils had a season for the books. The Blue Devils won their second straight WHAC Championship, after a remarkable comeback down seven strokes to win in a one hole playoff, won six tournaments and finished inside the top-5 seven times, back-to-back NAIA Championship appearances, two all-region performers, and received votes in the NAIA poll three times this year.
