Southfield, MI - The Lawrence Technological University women's volleyball team played Madonna University at home on Wednesday night. After Madonna went up 2-0, LTU would steal the next two sets to tie things up. In the final set Blue Devils fell short losing to the the Crusaders 2-3. The scores in this one were 19-25, 18-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-17. 

Set One:

• Lindsay Hubler's kill gave LTU a one point lead, 7-6
• Madonna tied it up with a kill at 14
• Two Hubler kills, one by Madeline Hudson, and a Crusader attack error gave LTU a four point stretch, 18-14
• Madonna scored the next 10-of-11 points to win set one 19-25

Set Two:

• Four straight points by the Blue Devils, kills by Charley Klint and Hubler and two attacking errors by Madonna made it 7-4
• The Crusaders would steal the nine straight points later in the set to go up 9-16
• Hudson's kill brought the lead to 15-20
• Madonna won set two 18-25

Set Three:

• Madonna started on a 1-6 run
• Riley O'Connell's kill cut the lead to 13-16
• A kill by Klint, attack error by Madonna, and a kill by Lauren Peters brought the lead to one, 16-17
• Back-to-back kills by Peters and O'Connell gave LTU their first lead, 22-19
• LTU won set three 25-22

Set Four:

• O'Connell gave LTU a 6-3 lead by her kill
• Madonna took the lead back 10-11
• Kills by Hudson and O'Connell, and a Juliana Bollini service ace made it 16-12 LTU
• Blue Devils went up six after Hudson kill
• The Crusaders would score five straight to cut the lead to 21-20
• O'Connell's kill followed by her own service ace won set four for the Blue Devils, 25-23

Set Five:

• Three straight points put MU up 10-6 
• Kills by O'Connell and Hudson, and another service ace for Bollini tied it up at 13
• Both teams would trade the next five points in MU's favor
• MU beat LTU in set five 15-17
