SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University women's volleyball team clashed against conference foe Lourdes. The Blue Devils would beat the Gray Wolves in straight sets by scores of 25-18, 25-22, 25-16.
Set One:
- LTU took an early 6-2 lead
- Lourdes scored 4-of-6 to be within two (8-6)
- The Blue Devils fired back, answering with 6-of-7 to take a 14-8 lead
- A Lindsay Hubler kill gave Lawrence Tech a 16-9 advantage
- Lourdes takes 3-of-4 leading to LTU timeout (12-17)
- Service errors by LTU brought Lourdes back ito the set.
- Lindsay Hubler would end the first set 25-28, LTU
Set Two:
- Lourdes jumps out to early 5-2 lead
- Back-to-back service aces gave the Gray Wolves an 8-4 advantage
- Back-to-back Charley Klint points started the LTU comeback
- A Madeline Hudson kill tied the match at 15
- Back-to-back Hudson kills gave LTU a 20-17 lead
- A ball-hand ling error ended set two with a kill, 25-22 LTU
Set Three:
- Lourdes grabbed an early 5-3 advantage
- Lawrence Tech stormed back with five straight points to claim their first lead of the set
- LTU took the next 4 5-of-7
- The Cardinals took a 17-15 lead following an LTU attack e Hudson gave LTU a 16-15 lead, a lead they would not give back
- Lawrence Tech finishes off the Gray Wolves by taking 6 of-the-final-10 points to win the match 3-0.
