No. 22 Men's Hockey Falls to Visiting Concordia (Michigan) in WHAC Action, 3-2

Box Score FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.--Kaden Hemme and Justin Hubenschmidt led nationally-ranked Lawrence Tech with two assists apiece, but the Blue Devils suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of visiting Concordia (Michigan) in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference men's hockey action at Farmington Hills Ice Arena on Friday evening.

Quinn Bieniek gave the Cardinals (4-2-1 overall, 1-2 WHAC) a 1-0 lead with 17 minutes left in the opening period. He scored his second goal of the game at the 9:12 mark of the third.

Thimo Ey tied it for LTU with 16:32 to go in the second period. Brenden Preiss gave the Blue Devils a 2-1 lead at 9:26 in the final period until Bieniek's second goal just 14 seconds tied it 2-all.

The Cardinals were on the power-play late in the third period when Derek Hebner scored the game-winner with 5:03 remaining.

Blue Devils goalie Brett Tome had 20 saves, while his CUAA counterpart Anthony Seykora stopped 32 shots.

Lawrence Tech (1-4 overall, 1-2 WHAC) is No. 22 according to the latest American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 1 poll released this week.

The teams meet at CUAA's home rink, Arctic Edge in Canton, tomorrow afternoon at 5 p.m.
