MIDLAND, Mich.--Owen Przybylo turned aside all 21 shots he faced and Zachary Rais led the offense with three points to help propel the Lawrence Tech ACHA Division 3 men's hockey team to a 6-0 shutout over host Northwood on Saturday at the Midland Civic Arena.

The visiting Blue Devils have won four consecutive games to improve to 7-3-1 on the season and 5-0-1 in the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference East Division, completing the weekend sweep of the Timberwolves who drop to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the MCHC East.

Przybylo got all the offense he would need just 3 minutes and 35 seconds after the opening face-off when Devin Genzel potted his second goal of the season on a feed from Gavin Holmes.

Sawyer Walker made it 2-0 just 3:47 later on an assist from Rais. Sam Stepanek added an insurance tally--his first goal this season--with 3:31 left in the first period.

Blayne Young scored for the only goal in the second period and a 4-0 advantage, and Rais and Logan Barnes rounded out the scoring in the final stanza.

Will Jentz and Holmes finished with two assists apiece, Walker also had an assist and Genzel also had a two-point afternoon by adding an assist.

The Blue Devils power-play unit converted 2 of 5 opportunities while their penalty killers were successful in all five man-advantage attempts for the Timberwolves. Lawrence Tech outshot Northwood, 38-21.

Lawrence Tech will play Ferris State in a home-and-home series this weekend. The Blue Devils will host the Bulldogs on Friday (5 p.m.) at Farmington Hills Ice Arena, and Ferris will host on Saturday (time TBA) at Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids.
