Coach Mertz on the performance: "The women had great energy on court today. They fought hard and put up a good battle against a solid Ashland team. A few unforced errors at crucial moments, however, cost us the match. If we can build up our confidence and get more discipline at tough moments, we will become a strong team. We go into the offseason now and the women will need to put in the time and effort to come back in January stronger than ever."
The Blue Devils are done for the fall season and will return to play in February for their spring season.
