Box Score SOUTHFIELD--A trio of Lawrence Tech student-athletes recorded a double-double and the Blue Devils utilized his perimeter game during a key stretch in the second half to defeat visiting Michigan-Dearborn, 70-63, in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference men's basketball action on Tuesday evening at the Don Ridler Field House. The Blue Devils have won three-straight to improve to 5-3 overall, including 2-1 in the WHAC; meanwhile, UMD drops to 2-4 on the season and 0-2 in the conference.
Lawrence Tech Highlights
- Senior guard Brandon Beavers led the way with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
- Senior forward Nathaniel Ward (12 points, 11 rebounds) and junior guard Blake Lund (11 points, 11 rebounds) also posted double-doubles.
- Junior guard Aaron Dolny chipped in 13 points on four treys and pulled down five rebounds.
- Senior Alejandro Gonzalez led all playmakers with five assists.
UM-Dearborn Highlights
- Jackson Reynolds led all scorers with 22 points, including 11 for 13 shooting from the free throw line.
- Jimmy Breaux notched a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

- After Reynolds' trey gave UMD its last lead at 31-30 of the second half, LTU scored 11 unanswered points capped by 3balls from Dolny and Lund on back-to-back possessions in a span of 2 minutes and 15 seconds to go up 41-31 with 14:21 remaining.
- The Blue Devils eventually built as much as a 17-point lead at 57-40 at the 7:58 mark and held off a UMD comeback bid.
- The Wolverines pulled to within six points, but it was too little, too late.
- The Blue Devils held a 27-25 advantage at the break with neither team holding more than a two-possession lead.
