ANN ARBOR, Mich.--After a five-week hiatus, the Lawrence Tech men's and women's bowling teams are back in action this Saturday at the Wolverine–Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree#3 held at Jax 60 Bowling & Fun, 3501 Wildwood Ave., in Jackson. The tournament format is four-team games and 16 baker games.
A reminder that admission is charged for all WHAC-sponsored events. The cost is $10 for general admission and $7 for seniors and students. Ticketing is processed through WHAC partner, Hometown Ticketing, and we recommend you purchase your ticket online via this link. You may also purchase tickets at the door.
Doors open at 6:45 a.m. with bowling to begin at 7:45 a.m. preceded by a practice round at 7:30 a.m.
Event organizers would like to remind spectators that chairs, stepstools and ladders are not allowed to be brought into the facility. There will be a limited number of seats available along the concourse area. No outside food or drinks allowed.
In their last outing at the Nov. 4 WHAC#2 in Comstock Park, Mich., the LTU men--who are nationally-ranked fifth by the United States Bowling Congress--were fifth out of 15 schools (7446 pins), while the women placed eighth out of 14 schools (6285 pins). The men's squad has won four tournaments so far in 2023-24, including the WHAC#1, also in Comstock Park.
