Box Score Lawrenceville, GA - The Lawrence Technological University men's soccer team came up big in their first game of the Labor Day Georgia Gwinnett Grizzly Classic to West Virginia University Institute of Technology in a hard fought battle. The back and forth endless scoring game came down to the Blue Devils coming back, down 5-3 halfway through the second half.
The scoring started early with the Golden Bears at the 10:58 mark of the game followed by another Golden Bears goal just about three minutes later. The Blue Devils didn't waste anytime attempting to come back as Sophomore
Guillermo Garcia ripped one right past the Golden Bears keeper with the help of
Ty Cerget. Garcia strikes again just two minutes after his last goal to tie the game up with the help of
Jacob Schleicher. The Golden Bears wanted more when they ripped a shot past the Blue Devils Keeper
Goncalo Duraes to break the tie just five minutes after Garcia's two goals. The scoring had calmed down for a while and the Blue Devils went into the second half down 3-2.
At the 52:42 mark of the second half, the Golden Bears strike again to make it a 4-2 game. The Blue Devils kept fighting to make a come back with plenty of shots being taken. The Golden Bears strike once again, with the Blue Devil fans starting to lose hope. However, the Blue Devils didn't like the sound of that, as Senior
Skander Larfaoui rips a shot right into the goal to make the Golden Bears lead smaller. The Blue Devils weren't giving up as Freshmen
Tiago Troyano makes the Golden Bears lead even smaller. To tie the game back up Junior
Mohamad Ghamloush get one right past the Golden Bears 82:43 minute mark of the game. With little time for the Blue Devils to attempt to break the tie, with a little over one minute left in the game, Larfaoui breaks the tie to keep the Blue Devils streak going.

The Lawrence Tech men's soccer team will continue their Labor Day trip to face off against Truett McConnell University at 12:00pm in Lawrenceville, Georgia on Sunday September, 3rd.
