Women's Soccer Draws to Albion

Box Score Southfield, Mich.- The Lawrence Tech women's soccer team faced off against another NCAA D3 school, Albion College, Wednesday night. In a thrilling soccer match between Lawrence Tech and Albion, both teams show cased their defensive prowess as they battled to a hard-fought 0-0 draw. The game was marked by exceptional goalkeeping on both sides, with each team's goalkeeper making seven crucial saves.

Sophomore keeper Gabi Nelson, representing Lawrence Tech, was a standout player throughout the match. Her commanding presence in the goal and quick reflexes kept Albion's offensive efforts at bay. Nelson made an outstanding diving save in the first half off of a cross pass over to Albion forward who took a shot on Nelson. Nelson wowing the crowd with that save. Nelson also recored her fourth shutout this season, going four games in a row without letting anything past her. 

Despite numerous close calls and offensive opportunities for both teams, the match ultimately ended in a deadlock, with neither side able to find the back of the net. 

The Blue Devils open up WHAC play on Saturday September, 20th at Blue Devils Stadium at 7:00 PM against Indiana Tech.
