Box Score SYLVANIA, Ohio--Skander Larfaoui's team-leading eighth goal in the 86th minute lifted visiting Lawrence Tech to a thrilling 1-0 victory Saturday over Lourdes in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference men's soccer game at Northview/LU High School stadium. With the win, the Blue Devils improve to 8-1-1 (2-0-1 WHAC) on the season and hand Will Dyer his 100th career coaching win--all at the school since he founded the program in 2011.

Guillermo Garcia had a chance to put LTU up 1-0 in the 77th minute, but his penalty kick attempt was saved by Alex Brock diving to his right near the post.

But the Blue Devils did break through a scoreless game 9 minutes later as Reece Still delivered a terrific cross from the right wing in stride to Larfaoui who headed the shot past Brock. For the season, Larfaoui tops LTU with eight goals and 20 points which are good for third and second in the conference.

Lawrence Tech also had statistical advantages in shots (12-9) and corner kicks (4-2), while the teams combined for 21 fouls and seven yellow cards in a physical contest. Keeper Kieran Malachino had two stops in 79 minutes and 38 seconds of action.

Martin Coronel led the LU offensive with three shots. Brock finished with five saves for the Gray Wolves, who fall to 1-4-4 on the season and 1-1-1 in the WHAC.

The Blue Devils own their best record ever (8-1-1) through 10 games; previous was 6-2-2 in 2017.

Lawrence Tech is back in action on Wednesday when it hosts WHAC rival Siena Heights at Blue Devils Stadium, with a kickoff at 7 p.m.
