Box Score INDIANAPOLIS--Lawrence Tech rolled up a season-high 370 yards of total offense but fifth-ranked Marian University outscored the visitors 14-3 in the second half en route to a 44-17 victory Saturday in a Mid-States Football Association Mideast League contest at St. Vincent Field. The Blue Devils fall to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the MSFA Mideast, while the Knights improve to 4-0 and 1-0 in the league.
How it Happened
- The game was scoreless in the first quarter.
- The teams combined for 44 points in the second with Marian leading 30-14 at halftime.
- The Blue Devils jumped on the scoreboard first with 14 minutes and 54 seconds showing on the clock. Alex Osman connected with Ben Brittain on a 19-yard touchdown strike to punctuate an 18-play, 94-yard scoring drive that consumed 8:56 in time of possession.
- On the ensuing drive, MU scored a TD of its own just 43 seconds later. Keagan La Belle rushed for a 4-yard score, but the PAT run failed to keep the Blue Devils in the lead 7-6. La Belle's 68-yard run to the LTU 7 on the first play of the drive set up his TD.
- AÂ Marlon Pomili 23-yard field goal at 11:52 of the second quarter gave the Knights the lead for good, 9-7.
