From the opening whistle, Lawrence Tech displayed its dominance on the field. LTU didn't waste any time to take the first lead of the game as fifth-year senior Dahlia Jerovsek opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Just six minutes after Jerovsek's goal, freshman Hannah Pagett scored to give the Blue Devils a 2-0 lead by halftime.
The Blue Devils continued to apply offensive pressure in the second half, and their efforts were rewarded with another goal. Sophomore Abigail Gray found the net as senior Jenny Dear took a shot on frame that was saved by the LU keeper. Gray was there to pick up the rebound and score. The team's cohesive play and relentless determination resulted in a trio of well-executed goals.
The Blue Devils will head out to Adrian, Michigan, on Wednesday to face Siena Heights at 7:00 p.m.
