Coach Mertz on the match: "Today was a hard-fought match against a team we are always very equal against. A few points here and there, some different decisions with our shot selection, and the match could have swung in our favor. We had 4 of our 6 singles matches go to a super-tiebreaker and came out on top in only one of them. With more experience going into future matches, we hope to change that statistic. Overall, I'm very happy with the energy and team atmosphere the guys brought today.
The Blue Devils return to action on Saturday when they take on Spring Arbor at Franklin Athletic Club at 4pm.
