HOWELL, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech softball team headed out to Cleary on Friday for another WHAC doubleheader. The Blue Devils swept the day with winning game 1, 14-2 and game 2, 3-1. Lawrence Tech is now 2-2 in conference and 13-16 on their overall season. The Cougars are now 2-2 in conference and 7-13 on their overall season.
Game 1:
The Blue Devils sophomore
Alyssa Bloomfield doubled, scoring junior
Lily Morrissette for the first run of the game in the first inning. The Cougars scored their only runs in the first inning. The Blue Devils tied the score back up in the second inning. The Blue Devils scored two more runs in the third inning, breaking the tied and three more in the fourth. Junior
Gloriana Su'a hit a home run in the fifth inning making the score 8-2. Morrissette flied out to right field, scoring freshman
Abby Gardner in the sixth inning. Gardner singled out to left field, scoring 2 runs and freshman
Ashlyn Bloomfield hit a home, earning 3 RBI's in the seventh inning to close out the game. Morrissette and Al. Bloomfield both hit doubles, and sophomore
Chloe Hug tripled. As. Bloomfield had 4 RBI's, Morrissette, Al. Bloomfield, Su'a, and Gardner all had 2 RBI's, and Hug and junior
Chloe Carpenter had 1 RBI. Sophomore
Mikayla Timm pitched for the Blue Devils, allowing 4 hits for the Cougars and 2 runs scored. Timm struck out 3 Cougars in 7 innings pitched.

Gloriana Su'a for the first run of the game in the second inning. Su'a returned the favor in the third inning by singling out to right field and scoring sophomore
Chloe Hug. Freshman Abby Garnder hit a home run in the fourth inning with nobody on base in the fourth inning. Cleary closed out the game by scoring a run in the fourth inning. Junior

Sarah Basket pitched for the Blue Devils, allowing 8 hits for the Cougars and 1 run scored. Basket struck out 2 Cougars in 7 innings pitched.
The Blue Devils are back in action on Saturday against Cornerstone for a WHAC double header at 1 and 3pm. The Blue Devils will be honoring their three seniors after the game.
