BEVERLY HILLS, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech softball team hosted University of Northwestern Ohio on Saturday afternoon for another WHAC double header. The Blue Devils fell on the day with falling in game 1, 10-3 and falling in game 2, 11-6. Lawrence Tech is now 8-6 in conference and 19-20 on their overall season. The Racers are now 11-3 in conference and 24-12 on their overall season.
Game 1:
The Racers applied the pressure early on scoring three runs in the first inning. Northwestern Ohio hit two home runs in the second inning, leading them to score five more runs, making the scire 7-0. The Racers scored their last three runs in the third inning. The Blue Devils came to life in the forth inning scoring three runs. junior

Clover Brandt opened up the pitching for the Blue Devils, allowing 7 hits and 7 runs scored for the Racers, Brandt struck out 1 Racer in 1.2 innings pitched. Freshman
Jocelyn Hall closed out the game for the Blue Devils, allowing 4 hits and 3 runs scored for the Racers in 5.1 innings pitched.
Game 2:
The Racers scored one run in the second inning, however the Blue Devils responded right back in the bottom of the second, scoring three runs, making the scored 3-1. The Racers tied the score back up, with a 2 run home run and then broke the tie in the fourth inning scoring a run. Lawrence Tech had an explosive fifth inning with back to back home runs from sophomore
Chloe Hug and junior
Gloriana Su'a. Junior Lily Morriessette hit an in the park homer with a hit out to right field, reaching on an error by the Racers right fielder, allowing her to score. The Blue Devils went up 6-4, however the Racers turned the heat back on in the sixth inning, scoring five runs, taking their lead back. The racers went on to score two more runs in the seventh inning to close out the game. Freshman

Mikayla Timm pitched for the Blue Devils, allowing 6 hits for the Racers and 7 runs scored. Timm struck out 3 Racers in 5 innings pitched. Freshman
Jocelyn Hall stepped in for the Blue Devils, allowing 3 hits for the Racers and 2 runs scored in .2 innings pithed. Freshman
Sarah Basket closed out the game for the Blue Devils, allowing 0 hits and 2 runs scored in 1.1 innings pitched.
The Blue Devils are back in action Sunday afternoon hosting Indiana Tech for another WHAC double header at 1 and 3pm.
