SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological University Men's Lacrosse team hosted Lourdes for senior day Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Devils beat to the Gray Wolves 18-9 in another WHAC matchup.
The Blue Devils are now 3-5 in conference play and 4-8 overall this season, while the Gray Wolves now are 1-7 in conference play and 4-8 overall.
The Blue Devils opened up with the 2-0 lead with goals from junior
Nick Soukup and senior
Eli Lozinski. Lourdes cut their lead down to 1 scoring back. Junior
Grady Holmes and sophomore
Trevor Donohue scored two more goal for the Blue Devils giving them a 4-1 lead. The Gray Wolves scored one more goal to close out the first quarter. Holmes opened up the scoring in the second quarter, however the Gray Wolves responded scoring a goal. Soukup and Donohue scored two more goals for the Blue Devils before Lourdes scored another goal. The Blue Devils scored three more goals and the Gray Wolves scored one more goal to end the first half of the game.
The Blue Devils came out firing in the third quarter scoring three in a row right off the bat. The Gray Wolves only scored one goal to end the third quarter. Lozinski opened up the scoring in the fourth quarter with the Blue Devils up 14-6. Lourdes scored a goal but the Blue Devils scored two more goals. Loudes scored another goal and LTU scored 2 more goals and Loudes closed out the game scoring one more goal with was not enough to come back.
Sophomore
Jarret Willershausen played in goal for the Blue Devils, facing 20 shots and saving 9 of those shots.
Holmes lead the Blue Devils with seven points (3 goals and 4 assists). Lozinski lead the scoring for the Blue Devils with 6 goals.
