NAIA Women's Track and Field Championship Preview

SOUTHFIELD, MICH.-- The Lawrence Technological University women's track team will head down to Marion, Ind. for the NAIA Women's Track and Field Championships starting Wednesday.

SCHEDULE: The action will begin on Wednesday with the first wave at 8:30am. 

AT FIRST GLANCE: Lawrence Tech returns to the outdoor championship, after sending seven total athletes last year, with two this season. Jacqueline Albo is the only athlete to return, with Hanna Assenmacher joining her for her first appearance in the championship.
 

ALL-CONFERENCE ALBO: Senior Jacqueline Albo (Macomb, Mich.) earned national qualification in the WHAC Championship Meet, placing second in conference at 2:13.72. This earned her second team all-conference and her qualification for nationals this year. 

Albo is one of the most decorated athletes in Blue Devils track history, holding the individual record in the 800m, 1500m and she is a part of the group who holds the record for 4x400m

ASSENMACHER THE ANCHOR: Junior sprinter Hanna Assenmacher (Ida, Mich.) set a school record in the 5000 meters this season with a 17:57.54, as well as in the 3000 steeplechase (11:17.25) and a second place second in the 1500 meters.
