Blue Devils Narrowly Defeated in Tight Volleyball Contest

Box Score SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - In a tightly-contested volleyball contest at Don Ridler Fieldhouse, Southfield, MI, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils were narrowly defeated by Indiana Tech University with a final score of 3 sets to 2 in a WHAC Conference event held on October 3, 2025.

The match opened with the Blue Devils taking a strong lead, winning the first set 25-21 against the visitors. However, Indiana Tech came back strongly in the second set, reversing the score to 25-17. The third set saw the Blue Devils regain their form, securing the set 25-21. Momentum shifted in the fourth set as Indiana Tech University took control, winning 25-20, and continued their dominance into the fifth and final set with a 15-10 victory, sealing their win.

Key players for the Blue Devils included Sydney Eggleton with 18 kills, Maria Trevino Nunez contributing significantly with 17 kills and 1 block, and Nya Matley adding 12 kills. On the defensive end, Dru Temple made notable contributions with 16 digs and 2 aces, alongside mastering 46 assists. Lauren Peters also stood out in defense with 16 digs.
