FORT WAYNE, Ind. - In a gripping first round of the WHAC conference tournament on November 12, 2025, the women's volleyball team of Lawrence Tech University, faced a narrow defeat against Indiana Tech. The match, held in Fort Wayne, Ind., ended with a final score of Lawrence Tech 2, Indiana Tech 3 and wrap up the 2025 season.
The Blue Devils started strong, winning the first set 25-22. However, the tide turned in the second set with Indiana Tech evening the score by claiming the set 25-20. The third set saw Lawrence Tech pushing back hard, securing a 25-23 victory, but Indiana Tech responded by dominating the fourth set 25-17. The decisive fifth set was intensely competitive, concluding at 15-13 in favor of Indiana Tech.
Key contributors for Lawrence Tech included
Maria Trevino Nunez with an impressive 22 kills and 3 blocks, followed by
Sydney Eggleton with 13 kills, 22 digs, and 3 aces.
Kyndal James also played a vital role by adding 10 kills. In the defensive plays,
