Game 2 (2/1) - In an intense WHAC Conference Game held at the 140 Ice Den on February 1, 2025, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils squared off against the Cleary University Cougars, securing a nail-biting 3-2 overtime victory. The game showcased strong performances from both teams, ultimately favoring the Blue Devils who demonstrated resilience and tactical prowess.

The first period ended scoreless, setting the stage for an increasingly competitive showdown. The tension broke in the second period when Thimo Ey leveled the score for Lawrence Tech. Cleary responded similarly, maintaining the deadlock into the second intermission. In the third period, Keagan Rundle netted a crucial goal that was later equalized, leading to an electrifying overtime where Maximus Nguyen scored the decisive goal for Lawrence Tech.

Brett Tome, the Blue Devils' goalie, delivered a remarkable performance, bolstering the defense alongside teammates Maximus Nguyen and Adrian Gonzalez-Marin, who contributed critical assists. Maximus Nguyen displayed his all-around game, notching an assist and also scoring the game winner in overtime. 

 As the Blue Devils improve their record to 16-9-1, they look ahead to their next challenge against Rochester Christian University on February 7 at Big Boy Arena.
