AUGUSTA, Mich. - After Day one of the LTU Battle at the Brae in Augusta, Mich., the Blue Devils currently hold second place with 293 total strokes.
Liam McEvoy led the pack with a steady and composed round, carding 34 on the front nine and 36 on the back, finishing at 1-under par. He avoided major mistakes and kept things clean across all holes. Liam is currently in 2nd place on the individual leaderboard.
Carlos Ochoa played a balanced round with a 35 on the front and 36 on the back, finishing even par. His precision off the tee and solid putting helped him stay consistent throughout. Carlos is currently 3rd on the individual leaderboard.
Thiago Ormachea showed great consistency, shooting a 38 on the front nine and a 37 on the back to close the round at +4. He is currently in 9th on the individual leaderboard.
Martin Wing went 39-38 for a total of 77, ending +6. He had moments of control but couldn't quite eliminate the costly holes. Martin finished the day at 21st on the individual leaderboard.
The 37th ranked Blue Devils will look to advance past Cornerstone for first place tomorrow in the final day of the LTU Battle at the Brae.
