Lawrence Tech Men's Lacrosse Falls to Concordia (MI) in Final Conference Game

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – In an intense regular season lacrosse fixture, Lawrence Tech University faced a challenging defeat against Concordia (MI) Cardinals on April 19, 2025, at Ferry Field. The final score saw the Blue Devils going down 20-14 after a bravely fought game.

The Blue Devils, led by a quintet of impressive individual performances, failed to overcome a substantial halftime deficit, despite an energetic rally in the latter stages. At the half, the scoreline was tipped in favor of Concordia at 13-8, a lead they managed to maintain until the final whistle.

Highlighting the team's efforts, graduate student Eli Lozinski spearheaded the attack with 5 goals, followed by senior Jacob Cianci with 3 and freshmen Luke Gannon also with 3 goals. Graduate Student Ryan Pastorino notched the opening score and added 4 assists, demonstrating his all-round prowess on the field. Senior Grady Holmes contributed 2 goals and 3 assists. In the cage, freshmen Dylan Porter displayed resilience, saving 14 of the 34 shots he faced.

The Blue Devils displayed commendable spirit, highlighted by taking the early lead with Pastorino's initial goal. However, the Cardinals' persistent scoring kept them in the lead throughout the contest. As the regular season progresses, the Blue Devils now hold a record of 9-4 overall and 4-3 in conference play.

Looking ahead, Lawrence Tech will take the field next in the WHAC Quarterfinals on April 22, 2025. The opponent remains undecided at this moment, keeping the team on their toes as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
