SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The match had barely settled into a rhythm when Lawrence Tech struck like lightning. Just 82 seconds into the game,
Pedro Roses found space and unleashed an unassisted strike past Michigan-Dearborn goalkeeper, shocking the visitors and giving the Blue Devils an instant 1-0 lead.
The early blow deflated the Wolverines, and Lawrence Tech refused to let up on the pressure. The Blue Devils controlled the midfield, generating chance after chance through crisp passing and aggressive wing play. In the 24th minute, that relentless pressure paid off again.
Alexander Prenkocevic found a seam in the Wolverine defense and threaded a perfect ball to
Andrew Cook, who calmly slotted it home to double the advantage. Michigan-Dearborn attempted to counter later in the half, but Lawrence Tech goalie
Noa Benallegue stood tall.
The second half mirrored the first, as Lawrence Tech's defensive backline anchored by
Damian Addai and
Jorge Torrecillas stifled every Wolverine attack.
In the 65th minute, the first half dynamic duo flipped roles to put the game out of reach. This time, it was Cook turning playmaker, feeding a beautiful assist to Prenkocevic, who hammered it into the back of the net for a 3-0 lead.
With the game firmly in hand, Blue Devils head coach utilized his bench, bringing on fresh legs to close out the match. One of those substitutes,
Mats Bulters, provided the final exclamation point. In the 77th minute, Bulters created an unassisted opportunity of his own, drilling home Lawrence Tech's fourth and final goal of the night.
When the final whistle blew, the scoreboard read 4-0. Lawrence Tech had outshot the Wolverines 13 to 6, demonstrating total control from the opening kickoff.
Their next match will be at Blue Devil Stadium against Defiance College on Saturday, October 24.
