The rematch on October 3 turned into an offensive shootout, with Robert Morris bouncing back to claim a 5-3 victory over Lawrence Tech. LTU struck early with three first-period goals from
Adrian Gonzalez-Marin, Josh Hixson, and Michael Golosinski, but RMU responded forcefully led by Devin Rohrich's hat-trick performance. Rohrich netted two power-play goals and an even-strength marker to lead the Colonials' comeback, while goalkeeper Patrick Colburn provided relief between the pipes with 25 scoreless saves over the final two periods to seal the win.
